Update: Missing woman located with non life threatening injuries from gunshot wound

Saint Paul Police are are looking for information that could lead to 18-year-old Hsa Say who went missing after she was shot at during an assault early Monday morning.


Hsa Say is 4‘11, approximately 84 pounds, with shoulder length red and brown hair. Police say she is from St. Paul and was last seen wearing a gray or black jacket or sweater.


”The family is worried, and we want to see Hsa safely return home,” said Sgt. David McCabe. “We’re asking anyone with information to please call the St. Paul Police Homicide Unit at 651-266-5650.”


Police say they are following missing persons protocols which include calling local hospitals and sending a missing person alert to the Minnesota BCA. Few other details are available. St. Paul police released the following information.


At approximately 4:00 a.m. this morning, Saint Paul Police officers from the Eastern District were dispatched to a "shots fired" call on the 1500 block of Fellows Lane. Preliminary information is the 911 caller reported that they heard five to six gunshots outside of their home. Officers arrived quickly and found evidence of a shooting. Officers also determined a woman, whom we believe to be Hsa Law Yaw Say, 18 years old from Saint Paul, was the victim who was shot at. Officers are actively trying to locate her to check on her welfare. A missing person alert has been sent to the Minnesota BCA. We are asking anyone with information is asked to call the SPPD Homicide Unit at 651-266-5650. The case investigation is ongoing at this time.
